JASON JULIAN
Founding Director
 
Jason Julian is the Founding Director of Urban K-Life. Jason is from Knoxville, TN and is a graduate of Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. Jason started UKL in 2005 with a heart to mentor and disciple young men in the city. He started coaching FB at Vashon high school in 2005, and still coaches and disciples young men in the city at Miller Career Academy high school. 
BRYAN SUTHERLAND
Relationship Manager-Manager
 
Bryan Sutherland is a St. Louis native and a graduate of Vashon High School and Harris Stowe State University. Bryan has been a Relationship Manager for UKL for 4 years, and serves at his alma mater of Vashon, volunteer coaching in multiple sports. He engages kids where they are daily and leads many young men thru intense mentoring and discipleship. Bryan gives his life up for these young people, and eagerly watches as they find hope and a future thru his investment in them. 
JEROME HARRIS JR.
Relationship Manager/ PGA Reach Director 
 
Jerome is a native of St. Louis, MO where he graduated from Beaumont High School. Jerome serves a relationship manager and PGA Reach Coordinator, teaching students golf skills and education. Jerome aspires to be an agent of change to reach a generation, a culture, and a community. When Jerome is not working he enjoys reading new books, trying new restaurants, and enjoying family time with my wife and kids.
 
ELISA DOTY
Relationship Manager/Klub Coordinator 
 
Born and raised in a family of nine in St. Louis, Missouri, Elisa developed a deep love and commitment to her city and community. She is passionate about walking alongside young people & sharing a message of hope & restoration. By developing trust & understanding, Elisa encourages teens to be wise in their choices and to build strong, healthy, Christ-centered relationships. Before Elisa began volunteering with Urban KLIFE in 2013, her heart for the community was seen in her volunteer and missionary work. Elisa joined the Urban KLIFE staff as a Relationship Manager in 2016, following her service as Community Outreach Advocate with the Freedom Arts and Education Center.
AMBER WALKER
Office Administrator
 
Amber was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and attended college in Southeast Missouri. After finishing school she moved to Memphis, Tennessee to serve in various non-profit ministries over the course of 4 years. Amber moved back to St. Louis in 2015 where she began volunteering with Urban K-Life and came on staff in 2017. Amber has a heart for urban community and desires to see positive change and development in urban areas. In her free time Amber enjoys live music, festivals, and traveling. 
LIANNA DOTY
Relationship Manager/Volunteer Coordinator
 
Lianna was raised in St. Louis, MO as the middle child of seven kids and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with two degrees while on the basketball team. Following university, she served with Kid Across America, graduated Harvest School of Global Missions in Pemba, Mozambique and had the opportunity to be immersed in the international church in parts of Mozambique and Mexico. These experiences have grown her heart beat for hope, reconciliation, and joy to be championed in inner city youth and the entire world through the love of the Jesus. Her desire is to encourage youth to know God and His good purposes for their lives through her passions for team sports, spoken word, and learning.
 
DR./PASTOR JULIUS SIMS, Ed.D.
Director of Operations
 
Dr. Julius Sims served an area school district for over 31 years as an educator, sports coach, F.C.A. Sponsor, & teacher mentor. He presently serves as senior pastor of the Word of Life Christian Church (North City). He holds a doctoral degree from U.M.S.L. in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, with an emphasis in Adult & Higher Education. He is married (33 yrs), a consultant, & honored to serve Urban KLife as Operations Director.
 
James L. Treadway is a youth speaker, entrepreneur and author from St. Louis. He is a graduate of Beaumont High School. James serves as Relationship Manager and Assistant PGA REACH Coordinator. He has a passion to impact the next generation with godly principles, music, and real life testimonies. James has a heart to impact, empower, and inspire the urban community world wide. In his free time he enjoys playing a variety of sports, spending quality time with his son, and recording original music.
